Ockbrook School closed down in July 2021. It is likely that Over The Wall Charity otw.org.uk will shortly be taking a lease for the whole site. The charity will use the site as their main base and will also deliver activities for those they assist.
A sizeable amount of renovations and refurbishment will take place before the site becomes fully operational. the works will take up to 18 months and estimated cost is currently £ 250,000.

Bells only alarm on all buildings but The Lodge- Maintenance staff on site 5 days a week – A security company visits twice at night during the week and twice a day during weekend, member of maintenance staff on call every weekend – Surrounding properties are residential and occupied – Swallows Rest is used currently as site office – Site manager has worked at school for 20 years – No claims – Minimal issues with trespassing.
